“The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings.”
Hello, and welcome to the Reiki on the Road website, located in Manchester, N.H.
I have been practicing Reiki for approximately 10 years, and am a member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals. I also volunteer with the Elliot Health Systems Visiting Nurse Association, giving Reiki to hospice patients.
Reiki on the Road was founded to bring the relaxation and healing properties of Reiki to those who can’t, or for whatever reason don’t want to, travel to a practitioner. I provide Reiki services within the comfort of your own home.
Reiki, pronounced “ray-key”, loosely translates to “universal life force energy,” and is an ancient Japanese healing art. It is a gentle, non-invasive, hands on modality that promotes stress reduction, relaxation, and healing. Another way to explain Reiki is, it helps enhance the body’s own natural healing abilities.
Reiki is increasingly being used in conjunction with conventional medicine and other modalities, such as massage therapy. It is often used to help reduce recovery time from surgeries, reduce the effects of chemotherapy, and is now being offered to hospice patients.
In the Reiki session, you should wear loose-fitting clothing. With calming, meditative music playing, you can relax and lie on the Reiki table with your eyes closed. George will then place his hands in “standard positions” on the body, in alignment with the body’s natural energy centers (Chakra Points) to direct the energy where it is needed.
You may feel a warm or tingling sensation at these points, and that’s normal – Reiki can do no harm to you.
After the session, you should drink plenty of water to help flush any toxins your body releases during it’s natural cleaning processes.
